The BMW S 1000 R (2021-) features a 999 cc ShiftCam engine producing around 165 hp, a new, lighter aluminium frame and semi-active DDC suspension. It has 45 mm Marzocchi/Öhlins forks and weighs approximately 199 kg. The 999 cc engine is paired with exhausts selected from Moto-Sound.
